About Us...

Saunders & Son was established in the late 1800's by James Saunders in Grange-over-Sands. The company is now run by 6th generation funeral director Liam Appleby. Liam began working for the company in 2007 assisting his grandad, Lloyd Saunders who arranged and conducted funerals for over 35 years. In 2020 Liam took over the business and is proud to continue to deliver valuable and compassionate assistance to the local community and throughout South Cumbria.
